Man kills brother over illicit relation with wife, arrested

A 25-year-old man battered his brother to death after he caught his wife in a compromising position with him in the wee hours of Monday in South-West Delhi’s Chhawla area. The accused has been arrested.

The incident took place at around 4 am when the accused — Rakesh (name changed) woke up after his one-year-old daughter started crying. He then noticed that his wife was not there in the room. While searching the house, he found that one of his brother’s room was closed from inside. Rakesh then broke open the door and found his wife sleeping with him.

In anger, he battered his brother to death with an iron rod. Meanwhile, Rakesh’s other brothers intervened and nabbed him. Later, the victim was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. Police have arrested 

Rakesh and a case of murder has been registered at Chhawla police station. Rakesh’s father is a contractor with the MCD and all his sons help him in the work.

During investigation, it was learnt that a few months ago, Rakesh had earlier warned the duo after catching them in compromising position.
