Man killed in Delhi firing

One person was killed and another critically injured when two motorcycle-borne assailants shot at them from close range in Delhi’s Samaypur Badli area, police said on Monday. According to police, Vipin (18), and his cousin Ravinder <g data-gr-id="17">(24),</g> were shot around 1.30 pm on Sunday in the area’s MCD colony.

The two men ran a meat shop. “The assailants, acquaintances of the two, opened fire. Vipin, who took a bullet in the chest, collapsed while Ravinder was injured in the abdomen,” a police officer said.

“They fled before residents and passersby could give a chase. Both <g data-gr-id="21">youth</g> <g data-gr-id="20">were</g> rushed to <g data-gr-id="23">hospital</g> where doctors said Vipin’s condition was critical. He succumbed to injuries later in the day,” he added.
Police said a case of attempt to murder, registered earlier on Sunday, has now been converted to murder.
