Man held in connection with cop’s murder

Delhi Police Special Cell on Friday arrested a man who was involved in the murder case of a constable Jitender Khatri. Police said Khatri was killed at Narela area on January 16 when he was trying to settle a money dispute.

The accused had been identified as Parminder Dabas (30), who was arrested from Rohini bus terminal. The constable was brutally killed by Samunder Khatri, Rajesh, Naveen, Rahul and Parminder.

Working on a tip-off on Wednesday, police laid a trap and arrested Dabas from Sector-25 Bus Stop Rohini. The day when Jitender was killed, the four accused reached near his house to settle a money dispute. 

Samunder fired at Jitender killing him on the spot. After committing the crime, all four accused fled in a car, which was later recovered by police. 

After <g data-gr-id="50">that</g> all the accused persons fled from the spot in their car which was later on found abandoned.
“Accused Rajesh and Rahul were arrested earlier. Parminder was absconding to evade his arrest and was hiding in different locations in UP, Rajasthan and Haryana. The two other accused Samunder Khatri and Naveen are still at large. Efforts are on to arrest him,” the officer added.
