Man dies after his bike collides with truck

A 26-year-old man died when his motorcycle collided with a truck parked on the roadside in Ghazipur area in East Delhi on Thursday morning. According to the police, the incident happened around 10 am after which locals found the man lying in a pool of blood based on which they informed the police about the accident.

Police rushed to the spot and found the man bleeding profusely and found a motorcycle lying nearby. They also found the truck but the truck driver managed to flee from the spot. Meanwhile, police took the man to Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. According to the police, they have not been able to identify the man but have registered a case of rash driving and causing death due to negligence under relevant sections of the IPC at the Ghazipur police station against the driver who is absconding.

In a similar incident which took place in Outer Delhi, an unidentified body of a man, aged in forties was discovered by the locals in the Narela area in the early hours of Thursday.

According to the police, they received a PCR call at around 7 am that a man was lying on the main road near NH-8 in a pool of blood. The man’s body was discovered by the locals who in turn informed the police. Since the man’s face bore tyre marks, police have ruled the possibility of foul play and have registered a case of accidental death against unknown persons at the Alipur police station.
