Man arrested for raping minor in CP

A 23-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl at a night shelter in Cannaught place area on Saturday evening, police said. The accused has been identified as Jasbeer, who was a <g data-gr-id="15">santitation</g> worker at the night shelter where the victim used to stay with her relative.Â
Sources claimed that the accused had earlier attempted to rape the <g data-gr-id="12">victim,</g> but was averted. The incident took place at 7:30 pm when the victim was alone at the shelter home. Jasbeer called her outside and allegedly raped her behind a car.Â
After the incident, the girl reported the matter to her aunt. They informed the matter to <g data-gr-id="11">police</g>, who immediately came and arrested Jasbeer.
