Mamata’s first rally with Anna in Delhi on 12 March

Trinamool Congress supremo and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee will address a massive rally along with anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan on 12 March.

The party has already announced that it will field candidates in all the seven constituencies in Delhi. Mamata, who is calling for a Federal Front against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress, has already vouched for a ‘change’ at the Centre in rally held in Kolkata recently.

On February 19, Mamata and Anna hold a joint press conference aiming for a national presence considering the upcoming election. It likely that Mamata will field more than 20 candidates across the nation (outside Bengal) and the names will be declared soon.

Earlier, in a joint press conference with Anna at the Constitution Club of India in the national capital, she said, ‘I question the credibility of the central government for crushing the dream and democratic rights of the people. There is an urgent need for a change, which we did in West Bengal and the policies should be there to empower the states and not to create feudal landlords.’
