Mamata wishes Akhilesh Yadav on his birthday

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday greeted Uttar Pradesh counterpart Akhilesh Yadav on his birthday. “Birthday greetings to @yadavakhilesh. Wishing you happiness and good wishes,” Banerjee said in a tweet. 

Yadav was among the dignitaries who were invited at Banerjee’s swearing in ceremony in May this year.

Meanwhile, the US Under Secretary for Political Affairs Tom Shannon on Friday said he was “very impressed” with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and underscored her commitment in facilitating India’s policy towards Bangladesh.

Shannon, who on Thursday met Banerjee at the state secretariat, invited her to Washington for scouting for potential American investment in the state including in the port sector.
