Mamata trains candidates at party strategy meet

Seen arriving for the strategy meet were newbies like Bengali film star of yesteryears,  Sandhya Roy, singer Soumitra Roy and ex-footballer Prasun Mukherjee. Veteran Trinamool leaders including Cabinet Ministers and sitting MPs trained them in the nomination filing process, how to adhere to the poll code of conduct, how to kick off a poll campaign and so on. ‘Candidates were also told how to maintain their expenditure account. Training sessions like this may be repeated’, said sitting AITC MP, Sisir Adhikari.

Interestingly, Banerjee is kicking off her campaign on Saturday, International Women’s Day in the city which will be marked by a long march by Mamata Banerjee and her party candidates.
