Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will set out for her district tour to Bankura and East Midnapore in which she would be holding administrative review meetings and attend inauguration programmes.

It is learnt that Banerjee would be setting out for the district tour on December 19.

On December 20, she would be attending a programme to be organised by district authorities at Fulkushna in Bankura where she will be inaugurating different projects.

On December 20 itself, she would be visiting Mukutmanipur where she would be holding the administrative review meeting for Bankura district. On the same day she would go to Digha in East Midnapore.

The next day, the Chief Minister is scheduled to take a stock of the development projects in Digha and she would also visit Mandarmani, which is another popular sea side tourist spot of Bengal.

The administrative meeting for East Midnapore district would take place in Digha on December 22. She will return to the city after holding the administrative review meeting in Digha.

It may be mentioned that the Chief Minister was scheduled to hold the administrative meeting in Bankura in November. But the progranmme was rescheduled as she had gone to Delhi and raised her voice against the “arbitrary decision” of the Modi government to demonetise high value notes without any necessary plan of action.

MLAs and senior officials from each district will be present in their respective administrative review meetings. Banerjee will be taking stock of the present status of the ongoing projects in the districts.

It may be mentioned that Chief Minister had over and again stressed upon the development of the tourism sector. Thus, she would also take a note on the ongoing development projects for Digha apart from inquiring about the other development projects during the administrative review meeting in East Midnapore.

Sources said that that issues related to security arrangements in some areas would also come up in the review meeting for Bankura district.

Besides holding the administrative review meetings, the Chief Minister would also inaugurate some programmes and lay foundation stones for some more projects. She would also be distributing different articles including tools required for agriculture purpose to beneficiaries.
