Mamata to flag off fifty new fire tenders today in front of Nabanna

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will inaugurate 50 newly bought fire tenders on Monday.

She will flag off the fire tenders in front of Nabanna.

The state fire and emergency services department has bought 20 new fire tenders and 30 mid size fire tenders.

The fire-tenders are of 5000 litre capacity and each of the tenders is equipped with low pressure pumps. Moreover, the tenders are fitted with cutting and lifting equipment. There are rescue operation equipment fitted with the fire tenders.

The 30 newly bought mid size fire tenders would be of great help for fire fighting in narrow lanes and hilly areas. Each of the mid size fire tender is of 2500 litre capacity.

Moreover, the fire tenders are enabled with the modern water mist technology.

Trained drivers will be operating all the fire tenders as they can operate the fire tenders by remaining seated in the driver’s seat.

The fire tenders have been bought at a cost of Rs 13,25,3730. With the newly bought fire tenders the total number of the state fire and emergency services department has become 674.
