Mamata on five-day North Bengal tour

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday left for North Bengal in Padatik Express. Banerjee will be on a five-day tour.   

She will visit Darjeeling after laying the foundation stone of Uttarbanga Banyapran Udyan at Salugara in Siliguri. 

The Chief Minister will be attending a foundation day programme of the Sherpa Cultural Board before distributing awards at Himal-Terai-Dooars Spots Festival on police ground. 

On January 2, the Chief Minister is scheduled to attend a programme to celebrate the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at Mal in Darjeeling. She will return to Kolkata on January 25 after attending a programme at Sukna.
