‘I have come here to serve the people. I’ll see to it that the local problems are sorted out if I am elected in the elections,’ said the actress who featured in 60 films in Bengali and six other languages.

She was accompanied by sitting cabinet minister Subrata Mukherjee who was confident of her win. ‘She will win by at least two lakh votes. The party has done a lot of rural development for this area. Add to that Moon Moon’s graceful persona which will appeal to the electorate’, he said. Party general secretary Mukul Roy was also present on the occasion.

Daughter of legendary Bengali actress, the late Suchitra Sen, Moon Moon was greeted by about 50,000 workers, including women.
