Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday called on the ailing nonagenarian Forward Bloc leader Ashok Ghosh, who is under treatment at a private nursing home on Eastern Metropolitan bypass.
The veteran leader is suffering from urinary tract infection and developed respiratory distress. His blood pressure is fluctuating and has been put on life support. Banerjee spoke to the doctors and wished him speedy recovery.
State Education Minister Partha Chatterjee and Left Front chairman Biman Bose also called on him.
