Maharatna PSUs officers’ body members call on SCOPE chief

The representatives of Officers’ Association of Maharatna PSUs, under the banner of Confederation of Maharatna Company Officers’ (COMCO) met C S Verma, chairman of Standing Committee of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), who is also the chairman of Steel Authority of India Limited, at Ispat Bhawan with an objective to create positive work environment in PSUs.
Convener of COMCO Mukul Kumar, who is also president of Indian Oil Officers’ Association (IOOA), congratulated Verma for taking over as chairman of SCOPE. Members of COMCO expressed their concern on the issues of merger of 50 per cent DA and revision of pay structure with effect from January, 2012, in line with recommendation of Justice Rao Committee and by panel of experts on reforming CPSEs constituted by Planning Commission.
C S Verma assured members of COMCO, of his full support and co-operation in achieving the overall growth of PSUs by addressing all the genuine concerns of employees of PSUs. He stressed that employees are the real task masters and propellers of profit in any organisation.
