Madhyamik examinees celebrate success in copying in Malda

Some students, who appeared in the last day of Madyamik examinations at Kalindi High School in Malda, celebrated their mass copying at the examination centre by bursting fire crackers. In a separate incident some students ransacked a portion of a school in Itahar after they were prevented from copying. 

Around 390 students from two schools in the district were appearing Madhyamik examinations at Manikchawk Kalindi High School. As soon as the examination was over on Tuesday, some students started bursting fire crackers to celebrate their success in copying during the examination. 

It was learnt that the students indulged in copying in the previous paper also. They threatened some of the invigilators with dire consequences after they were prevented from copying. 

On the other hand, some students who appeared in examination from Itahar Durgapur Girls High School in North Dinajpur on Tuesday broke the door, windows and furniture after they were prevented from cheating. A huge contingent of police rushed the spot to bring the situation under control.

Senior officials of the West Bengal Secondary Board refused to admit the incidents of copying. They have assured to look into the matter of ransacking college at North Dinajpur. 

In a tragic incident, a Madhyamik examinee Tayera Begum died after being hit by a truck coming from the opposite direction. 

The incident happened at Malancha when she fell from the motor cycle.
