Madan Mitra moves out of Bhowanipore hotel into rented accomodation

Former state Transport Minister Madan Mitra on Monday evening was shifted to a rented accommodation from the hotel in Bhowanipore where he was staying since the day he had secured bail from Alipore Court.

Mitra had been forced to stay in the hotel in Bhowanipore, despite getting bail
from an Alipore court, as he had been directed by the court not to leave the jurisdiction of Bhowanipore police station.

His family members used to visit the hotel every day.

But Mitra had said in an interview after securing bail that he wants to spend Durga Puja this year with his family members after being away from them for almost two years.

Sources said that Mitra had decided to shift to the rented house on Rakhal Mukherjee Road to spend some “quality time” with his family members.
