M K Surana takes charge as HPCL CMD

Mukesh Kumar Surana has been appointed  Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd, one of India’s leading Fortune 500 companies. He joined office on Friday from Nishi Vasudeva who superannuated on 31st March  2016.  Prior to taking over as CMD, M K Surana was holding the position of Chief Executive Officer – Prize Petroleum Company Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary and upstream arm of HPCL, since September 2012. 

M K Surana is a Mechanical Engineer, with Master’s degree in Financial Management.  He has a wide exposure in the Oil & Gas Industry spanning over 33 years handling various responsibilities including business leadership positions. He has been closely involved in Strategy Formulation, Business Process Re-engineering, Major Projects Implementation, Refinery Operations.
