LSR librarian held for raping minor!

Noida police on Sunday arrested a librarian working with the Lady Sri Ram (LSR) College in New Delhi for allegedly molesting and harassing his maid, a minor. Police arrested the librarian, Anand Prakash, from his residence in Noida’s Sector 62 after transfer of Zero FIR to the city from Connaught Place (CP) police station in the national capital. A Delhi-based NGO had lodged the complaint against the librarian following which penal action was initiated under Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) Act. 

According to police, about 15 days ago, Prakash had hired a minor maid, a native of West Bengal, through a placement agency. On New Year’s eve, when Prakash, his family and the victim had gone to CP the girl was molested, NGO members have alleged. During her counselling, the NGO personnel learnt that she had been molested and kept in the house forcibly.
