Lok Adalat settles 850 power cases

Over 850 cases of power theft by the consumers of Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) were settled in a Lok Adalat, held on Sunday, at the Tis Hazari court premises and around Rs 2.7 crore were recovered. ‘Over 850 cases were settled in the Lok Adalat. TPDDL had set up 15 courts in the Tis Hazari Court premise for the convenience of the consumers. The total settlement amount from the cases settled was approximately Rs 2.7 crore,’ a TPDDL spokesperson said.

The Lok Adalat, jointly organised by TPDDL in association with Delhi State Legal Services Authority, got an overwhelming response.
