Literary laurels for Khel Guru and Sheriyaat

In a bid to promote art, culture and literature, Kusumanjali Foundation (KF) was set up by Kusum Ansal, a well known Hindi writer. The Foundation which is supported by Ansal API, established the Kusumanjali Sahitya Samman in 2011 to present two National Awards for the best literary works every year.
This year, Ramesh Dave has been selected  for his work Khel Guru (Hindi), while the Kusumanjali Sahitya Samman for Urdu will be awarded to Gopi Chand Narang for his work fiction Sheriyaat: Tashkeel-o-Tanqeed on 1 August at India International Centre. Delhi's Chief Minister Sheila Dixit will grace the event with her presence.

The set criterion is that the works to be considered for the award may be of any genre including biography, drama, fiction and poetry. One award is given for a literary work written in Hindi and the other is bestowed on any other language writer.
