Launch of Russian space ship delayed

Launch of a Russian spacecraft that was to join the International Space Station [ISS] has been postponed by a week due to technical snags, a senior official said on Monday.

The launch of Soyuz TMA-06M, which was planned for 15 October has been delayed until after 20 October, Director of the Russian Federal Space Agency [Roskosmos] Vladimir Popovkin said. ‘Some malfunctions have appeared in one of the devices of the decent module, we will replace it and carry out second tests,’ Popovkin said.
