Laptops to help shape future, says Akhilesh

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, on Monday, distributed laptops to 12th pass students, saying it would help shape their futures and attain better education.
 
‘The SP government is working for the betterment of the people and keeping its promises,’ Yadav said while addressing a function, where as many as 8,973 inter-pass students were given laptops.

‘We had promised during last election campaign that we would distribute laptops among the class 12 pass students and we are fulfilling that promise,’ chief minister said adding that the Samajwadi Party government has fulfilled almost all the promises it had made during election.The CM, who distributed laptops to 50 students from his own hands, said the students would attain more technical education through laptops and take a step towards advancement. ‘These laptops would open a new world before them,’ he said.‘Besides, the government is sincere in providing employment to the youths’, Yadav said, elaborating on the employment generating steps he had taken in the last few months.

Denouncing former CM and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati for wasting public money on construction of parks and monuments, he said that names of several ministers and politicians were coming to the fore, for the misuse of money on stones.

‘On the name of dalit icons the ministers of the previous regime had looted public money. Action would be taken against them all,’ he said.
