KVS suspends principal

Taking a stern action against accused students and school authorities in Kendriya Vidyalaya Muzaffarpur beating case, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has suspended school principal Rajiv Ranjan, while two main accused students have been rusticated. Also, the vice-principal of the school and 14 other staff members have been transferred.

The action has been taken on the basis of the report submitted by the three-member inquiry committee set up to inquire the KV Muzaffarpur beating incident and its video getting viral on social media. The probe was constituted after Minister of State for Human Resource Development Upendra Kushwaha has asked the authorities to investigate the whole episode in which a teen was brutally assaulted inside the classroom by his classmates on August 25.
