Bidhannagar City Police arrested a youth on charges of using a fake call-letter while facing a job interview at Swasthya Bhawan – the office of department of health and family welfare.
The accused person, identified as Tanka Burman, came from North Dinajpur to face an interview for a job in Group D post.
At the beginning of the interview with Burman, the interviewers suspected that Burman issued a fake call-letter. "After examining the call-letter, interviewers had no doubt that it was a fake call-letter and informed the matter to the police," said a police officer.
Cops from Bidhannagar Electronics Complex police station arrested the person. "The accused confessed that he issued fake call-letters to get the job. Burman also confessed that he was not selected for the interview, so he had to make a fake call-letter," the officer added.
However, the investigators believed that Burman took help from some other people to make the fake call-letter. "There are some other people involved in this case. They probably took money from Burman before making a fake call-letter for him," the officer further said.
