Woman's body found in Kulberia

Kolkata: The body of a woman was found inside her house on Friday morning at Kulberia village in Kolkata Leather Complex.

The deceased identified as Rinku Dey (18) was alone in the house last night. Her husband was out of the city for work. According to sources, on Friday morning, around 7 am, one of Rinku's neighbours called her but got no response. When he went inside he found the door of the house was open and Rinku was lying on the ground in a pool of blood. Immediately Rinku's neighbor called up her husband Avijit. Kolkata Leather Complex police station was also informed.

Later, police investigated the crime scene and found an injury mark on her head caused by a heavy object.

According to police, Avijit works in a private security service provider and was on duty when Rinku was killed. After her body was sent for autopsy examination, sleuths from homicide section of Detective Department (DD) also investigated the incidetn. A sniffer dog was also brought but that did not help much in the investigation process. A murder case has been started at the Kolkata Leather Complex police station. Probe is on to nab the murderer.
