Webel animation academy to reopen with pvt partner

Kolkata: The Webel animation academy, which has suspended its operation since 2014 end, is expected to be relaunched with a private knowledge partner. West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited (Webel) is a state government undertaking. "We are seeking a knowledge partner. We will provide infrastructure and the partner will manage the same," state IT secretary Debashis Sen said on the sidelines of a seminar. He said animation and mobile gaming is a growing sector and lack of affordable training institutes here was holding back our students to harness the opportunity.
