WBSIDC reveals book with details of Bengal's industrial parks

Kolkata: Keeping Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) in mind, West Bengal Small Industries Development Corporation (WBSIDC) has come up with a book, containing detailed profile about all of its industrial parks.
The 44-page book, containing photographs and information about each of the industrial parks, will be published on the first day of the BGBS on Tuesday. The book will be distributed among the entrepreneurs and businessmen during the two-day international business summit.
According to a senior official of WBSIDC, this is the first time when such an initiative has been taken to publish a separate book containing profile of the industrial parks and estates under the corporation's ambit.
The book has been prepared in such a way that it will be easier for entrepreneurs to search for any information.
At present, there are a total of 40 industrial parks and estates under WBSIDC on 697 acres of land and it includes the three upcoming ones at Khasjungle in West Midnapore, Dabgram in Jalpaiguri and Malda Silk Park.
Industrial parks at Ambari Falakata in Jalpaiguri on 126 acres and Rejinagar in Murshidabad on 26 acres of land have come up a few years ago. It may be mentioned that there are still around 450 acres of land in the industrial parks that will be allotted to entrepreneurs who are interested in setting up micro, small and medium scale units.
More than three fourth of the vacant land is in the two new industrial parks - Ambari Falakata and Rejinagar - and the three upcoming industrial parks at Khasjungle, Dabgram and Malda.
The information related to the industrial parks contain the exact location including its latitude and longitude, year of establishment, accessibility, total area, number of plots, rate for leasing out the land for 99 years and subsidy available, infrastructure available and status of vacant plots.
Name and contact details of the concerned officials who are in charge of the industrial parks, are also available along with other information. The official said that the book will be used after the BGBS as well, to make entrepreneurs in districts aware of the present status of the industrial parks.
