Waiting for Sovan to come back, says Mayor's wife

Kolkata: The marital discord between Mayor Sovan Chatterjee and his wife Ratna took a significant turn with the latter claiming that she is still waiting for her husband to come back.
"I am ready to wait for Sovan. I want him to come back. I am hopeful that his good sense will prevail and he will be back to the family," Chatterjee said
on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Mayor had lodged a fresh complaint with the Rabindra Sarobar police station alleging insecurity at his apartment at Southern Avenue where he has been residing for the last few months.
The divorce petition filed by the Mayor
against his wife is pending at the Alipore court.
Chatterjee had met city police commissioner Rajeev Kumar on Saturday evening and on Sunday evening, he lodged the complaint alleging that he is feeling insecure at his Southern Avenue apartment and is apprehensive that her wife will use miscreants and forcefully take possession of the house.
When asked to comment on the Mayor's complaint, her wife said: "The apartment where my husband is living recently is owned by my brother Suvasish Das. He is staying there as a guest. If my brother wants he can evict him through normal legal procedure. There is no question of using any other means."
The Alipore court on Monday granted anticipatory bail to Ratna Chatterjee in connection with the complaints of intimidation by Chatterjee with the Parnasree police station last month.
It may be mentioned that the first complaint lodged on February 19 alleged that her wife's friend
Jhuma Saha had entered his Parnasree residence with mala fide intention.
The second on February 24 was the same with Mayor alleging that it was his wife Ratna who instigated her friend to act in this manner.
