Two persons arrested for theft in Rajdanga

Kolkata: Police have arrested two persons in connection with a theft that took place at a house on Rajdanga main road on October 9.

The accused are Alauddin Seikh and Saiful Laskar who stole away three LCD monitor, One LCD television, 10 wrist watches and a laptop from the house of Piyus Palan.

In the investigation, police came to know that the miscreants entered the house from the roof top of the building. The family members lodged a complaint at the Kasba police station on October 15 on the basis of which, police started a probe. On the basis of specific information, senior police officer including OC Kasba raided at Ghutiarisharif under Jibontola PS area and arrested the two accused.

They recovered the stolen LCD LG TV and one wrist watch. The accused in the interrogation told the police about another accused Saiful Laskar who was also involved in the incident. Three computer LCD monitors, one wrist watch were also recovered from their possession.

In a separate incident, police arrested one Laksmi Koyal (37), a resident of North Cabin Road of Baruipur, in South 24 Parganas who stole three mobile phones from the house of Beni Banerjee road in Garfa.

The family members of the house lodged a complaint at the local police station. After starting an investigation, police arrested the accused. Police also recovered the mobile phones.
