Two minors raped in separate incidents

Police have booked the accused under POCSO Act. He has been absconding since the incident. Parents of the victim alleged that the accused abducted the girl when she was on her way to school. He took her to an under-construction building in the nearby area and committed the crime.

The victim later returned home with pain in her private parts and informed the matter to her mother. She was also taken to a local health centre for treatment. As the incident came to light the local residents attacked the house of the accused and ransacked it partially. They also put up a block on the Bagula-Nonapur road to protest the incident. The family members lodged a complaint at the local police station on the basis of which police have started a case. They are conducting raids to nab the culprit who is at large.

In a separate incident, a 3-year-old girl from Raingunge in North Dinajpur was sexually abused by a youth residing in the same locality. On the basis of a specific complaint lodged by the victim's family members, police have arrested the accused identified as Bimal Mondal. The victim's mother told the police that the girl had gone to the accused's house to play with his daughter. But the accused's wife and daughter were not at home. Taking advantage of the situation, Mondal had abused her.

The girl later complained of pain in her private parts. As the local residents came to know about the incident, they stormed into the house of the accused and ransacked it. Police have arrested the accused on Friday night.
