Top oil exporter of Saudi Arabia meets CM, lauds measures

Kolkata: Expressing their interest to invest in Bengal, the world's top oil exporter Saudi Arabia's Aramco met Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Nabanna on Thursday.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said: "They are happy with the meeting today (Thursday). They want to invest in Bengal. They will let us know about their investment plan after they return and have further discussion. They will also be joining in Bengal Global Business Summit".
According to an official in the state secretariat, a two-member team comprising the Director of the company Yad Al Subei and Senior Advisor of the company Javed Unis visited the state secretariat.
Chief Secretary Malay De was also present in the meeting that continued for around half an hour. It is learnt that the officials of the oil and gas company has expressed their satisfaction over the favourable condition in the state for investment. The Chief Minister also invited them for investment and collaboration.
It is learnt that the officials of the oil company have appreciated the infrastructure available in the state and they also lauded certain moves of the state government in making Bengal the "right place for invest".
"The company would like to identify very specific areas of interest in Bengal and then move ahead with a most specific agenda," the state government official said.
