TMC slams Mukul Roy, calls him 'rotten fruit'

Kolkata: Launching a scathing attack at BJP leader Mukul Roy, senior Trinamool Congress leaders called him a "rotten fruit" that needs to be thrown out of a bucket or else it could spoil the others.
Partha Chatterjee, TMC's secretary general and other senior leaders including Sovan Chatterjee were addressing a rally in South 24-Parganas from where they attacked Roy.
Partha Chatterjee said Roy has now joined another party after enjoying all the benefits from the TMC with which he was earlier associated. He criticised him calling him "coach of a football team" who never ever touched a football.
Sovan Chatterjee stated that everyone knows there is a need to throw the rotten fruit out of the bucket to prevent the others from getting affected. Hence there is nothing to explain as the "rotten one" has been thrown out. Moreover, it is not possible to leave any affect on Trinamool Congress by making personal attack.
Sadhan Pandey said the TMC is a party that carries out development work which are beneficial to common people. So such attacks in no way is going to leave an impact.
On November 10, Roy in his first public meeting as a BJP leader alleged that Abhishek Banerjee was the owner of Biswa Bangla, the umbrella brand being promoted by the state government.
