TMC leader injured after bombs hurled at him

Kolkata: A Trinamool Congress leader was injured in an attack on late Tuesday night at Baronjha in Murshidabad.
Mustafa Sheikh, the victim, a Trinamool Congress leader, received severe injuries as bombs were hurled at him.
He was admitted to Kandi Sub-divisional hospital where he is undergoing treatment. In his statement to the police, he said he went to attend a meeting at Dakbunglow More on Tuesday night. He got delayed as the meeting continued for a long time.
Some miscreants attacked him when he reached a deserted place while returning home. They started hurling bombs at him. He fell from the bike and started running with injuries on his eyes. He saved his life by taking shelter in a police camp in the area.
Police initiated a probe in this connection and started conducting raids in different places in search of the accused, who attacked the Trinamool Congress leader.
He later claimed that goons backed by political parties in the Opposition
attacked him.
Senior leaders of Trinamool Congress in the district raised their voice against the attack on Mustafa and demanded a proper probe into the incident. Trinamool Congress workers held a rally protesting against the incident.
