Three killed, three injured in separate road mishaps

Kolkata: Three people were killed and three others injured in separate road accidents in Nadia.
Police said that three youth were riding on a motorcycle when they lost control and hit a tractor from behind. The incident took place near Kalikapur area of Nadia on National Highway 34 on Tuesday morning. According to the police, none of the bikers were wearing helmets. Litton Saha (24) who received severe injuries on various parts of his body was declared brought dead after being taken to the hospital. He was a resident of Fulia bus stand para area. Two other riders, Suman Moitra and Sankar Das suffered critical injuries in the incident. Suman is a resident of Gosai para area of Nadia while Sankar is from Santipur. The three youth were going to Fulia from Shantipur.
In another incident two youth were killed after the motorcycle they were riding on collided head on with a truck. The accident took place Dhantala area of Nadia. The deceased have been identified as Saheb Sardar and Krishna Mondal. In the third incident, a pedestrian was injured after being hit by a speeding motor cycle at Shantipur on National Highway 34.
