Police came to know from local traders, who witnessed the accident, that around 15 people were at the tea stall when the accident took place.
All had gathered at the tea stall to have some food after their day's work.
All of a sudden, a truck rammed into the tea-stall killing two on spot while one of the victims succumbed to his injuries on
way to the hospital.
It was the locals who initiated the rescue work and later police reached the spot and took total 15 persons to a hospital.
Three were declared brought dead while 12 are fighting for their lives in the hospital.
Police are yet to ascertain the exact reason that led to the incident. But they suspect that either the driver had fallen asleep or the driver failed to control the vehicle due to snag developed in it.
Locals initially faced difficulties in rescuing the affected people. Later, police engaged brake-down vans and the truck was removed to bring out some of the victims.
Police faced a bit difficulty in carrying out the rescue work as hundreds of people had gathered in
the area by then.
So, cops had to cordon off the area where the
accident took place.
The incident led to massive traffic congestion on the major thoroughfare and police took all necessary steps to clear the traffic jam.
