Three held for carrying fake FIFA identity cards

Kolkata: Three persons were arrested on charges of using fake identity cards of FIFA to enter Swami Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Kirangan on Tuesday on the day when there was a match of Under-17 Football World Cup between England and Japan.
Debashis Debnath, a sub-inspector (SI), found three persons attempting to enter the stadium through gate number 3 in a car.
Finding their movement suspicious, the SI approached them and asked them why they were moving around the stadium in a car without parking it in the right place.
Moreover, it led to the SI's suspicion as there was a board with "Police" written on it. A police officer said that this was being done to create an impression that the car is of the police.
When questioned, the three persons had shown their identity cards to the SI and had claimed that the cards were issued by FIFA.
Later, the police found that those were fake ones and none of the cards were issued by FIFA. All three - Anurag Dalmia, a resident of FE Block at Salt Lake, Yash Kothari of Jorabagan and Suraj Kumar of North Port area - were arrested.
