Store keeper of Bangur Institute of Neuroscience arrested

Kolkata: The store keeper of Bangur Institute of Neuroscience has been arrested on the charges of beating up the family members of a patient.

It was alleged that the store keeper, Palash Dutta concealed a file related to an implant device supposed to be installed inside the patient's body and demanded money from the patient's relatives. As they did not agree to pay the money he had demanded, Dutta allegedly beat them up.

On the basis of the complaint lodged by the family members, the police arrested Dutta on Saturday night. He is being interrogated to ascertain if he was involved in any such incidents in the past. Police have started a detailed probe in this regard. They are investigating if other people of the hospital are involved in this incident.
