Station master's body found in drain

Kolkata: The body of station master of Diamond Harbour railway station was found in a drain near his rented house.

According to a source, the station master, identified as Nirmal Kumar, of Bihar lived alone in a rented house near the Diamond Harbour railway station.

A few days ago his wife and brother-in-law came to meet him and were staying with him since then.

They claimed that on Sunday evening Kumar went to market but did not return.

They had informed the police but nobody was able to trace him. On Monday morning, some local residents saw Kumar's body in a drain near his home.

The police and his family members were informed.

The police have recovered the body and it was sent for autopsy. Sources informed that relation between Kumar and his brother-in-law was not

good. Though there are no concrete evidences, but the police suspect that Kumar may have some dispute with his wife.

However, she and her brother are being questioned by the police. Local residents informed that on Saturday night they heard someone fighting in Kumar's house.
