St. Xavier's Collegiate School gets new principal

Kolkata: Fr. Thamacin, S.J. has taken charge as the new Principal of St. Xavier's Collegiate School, Kolkata on Monday.

The Rector, Fr. Dominic Savio, S.J. along with the staff and students of the school extended a warm welcome to the new principal.

Thamacin Arulappan M is the son of Maria Pragasam and Rakkini.

He was born on 18 February 1975 at Kanakankuppam (T.N.) Pondicherry AD.

He entered Dhyan Ashram, Konchowki on 20 June 1994. The first Vows was on 21 June 1996, at Dhyan Ashram, Konchowki while the Ordination was on 24 May 2010

He taught in Class-X, Lourdu Annai High School, Kanakankuppam from 1991- 1993 and in classes XI-XII at Government High School in Ananthapuram.

He is a graduate in Botany from Scottish Church College, Calcutta.

He was the sub-prefect, boarding, Bankura. He did his post gradutation in Philosophy and his B.Ed, SXC from St Lawrence High School. He did his post graduation in Botany.
