SSC results out but recruitment has to wait

The result of the written examination of School Service Commission (SSC) was published on Tuesday evening. The SSC had conducted the examination on December 4 last year but the publication was stalled due to legal issues.

Though the result was published on Tuesday, the process of recruitment would begin only after the cases pending in Calcutta High Court are resolved.

According to sources, there are around 5,000 vacancies for recruitment of assistant teachers in state government-run schools. It may be mentioned that around 113 candidates approached the court against the state government on this issue.
