Soon, 3rd auditorium at Nazrul Tirtha to be opened

Kolkata: Firhad Hakim, state Urban Development minister will inaugurate the 3rd auditorium at Nazrul Tirtha on Novembr 11 as a part of the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) celebrations.
The state-of-the-art air conditioned auditorium has a semi-circular table where the juries can sit during the projection of films and judge them. As the demand of Nazrul Tirtha is increasing, the setting up a third auditorium was urgently felt. Screening of films is regularly done at Nazrul Tirtha which is coming up as a cultural centre. The residents of New Town often find it difficult to come to Nandan complex to see films or watch dramas because of the distance and the problem of parking vehicles. In the past three years, Rabindra Tirtha and Nazrul Tirtha are coming up as cultural hubs where people from Salt Lake and its neighbourhood like Bangur Avenue, Kestopur come regularly to watch cultural shows.
Four shows will be held at Nazrul Tirtha during the festival from November 11 to 17. Beside Indian movies, cinemas from Germany, Brazil, Hungary, Italy, France, Bangladesh, Argentina, Algeria, Spain and Afghanistan will be shown. The prices of tickets are Rs 60 and Rs 80.
