Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay inaugurates Kolkata Literature Festival

Kolkata: Living legend Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay inaugurated 5th Kolkata Literature Festival (KLF) through lighting the lamp.
General secretary Tridib Chatterjee and director of KLF Sujata Sen also graced the inaugural ceremony. It is a 3 days festival presented by Publishers and Booksellers Guild.
Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay said, "We are living in an age of loneliness and feel the same in between huge crowd too. Then a festival creates new bonds that will reduce the feeling of loneliness and refrains individuals from the virtual world. As we know literature promotes life so it's necessary to take the nectars from there to live more".
Tridib Chatterjee said, "This festival is completely different from any other literature festival because it's now an integrated part of IKBF, which is known as world's largest bookfair."
KLF this time paid their tribute to folk singer Kalika Prasad Bhattacharya's departed soul as incidentally his last performance was in KLF.
