Second arrest in Behala case: Carpenter held

Kolkata: A carpenter has been arrested in connection with murder of a 75-year-old woman whose body was found inside her house in Behala on Thursday.

Police are interrogating the accused, Saheb Porel, who is suspected to be involved in the crime. According to the preliminary investigation, police suspect that Porel had visited the victim's house a day before the incident occurred. After initiating a probe, the police came to know that the assailants were well acquainted with the victim. During investigation, the cops found some footprints and finger prints similar to that of Porel inside the house.

The victim, Subhra Ghosh Dastidar (75) was strangled to death inside her house at Sisir Bagan area in Behala. During probe, several injury marks were found on the body. Another person was arrested following the incident. This is the second arrest in connection with the murder.
