Satyarup Siddhanta climbs world's highest active volcano

Kolkata: Mountaineer Satyarup Siddhanta has successfully scaled the highest active volcano in the world– Nevado Ojos del Salado.
It was 9.30 pm on Monday when the engineer from Behrampore stepped at the top of the highest active volcano.
It may be mentioned that Siddhanta was the first civilian Bengali from the state to climb the seven summits and reached the peak of Mt Vinson Massif, which is the highest mountain in Antarctica. This time he crossed all obstacles to reach to the top of the Nevado Ojos del Salado at Argentina-Chile border, which is 6,893 metre high. Moreover, it is the second highest mountain in both the Western and Southern Hemisphere.
