Roudrabrishti outlet launched at Poura Bhawan

Kolkata: A Roudrabrishti outlet where all essential commodities will be sold was inaugurated at Poura Bhavan on Wednesday afternoon. The shop was inaugurated by Jyotipriya Mallick, minister for Food and Civil supplies. Shantiram Mahato, minister for Paschimanchal Unnayan Affairs department, Sabyasachi Dutta, Mayor Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation and senior officials of Food and Civil Supplies department and BMC were present at the function.

This is the first outlet outside the campus of Food and Civil Supplies department on Mirza Ghalib Street. It will be run by BMC with its own staff. Different varieties of rice including Tulaipanji will be made available in the outlet along with other agricultural products. Jyotipriya Mullick said the Food and Civil Supplies department had proposed to set up Roudrabristhi outlet throughout the state and several civic bodies have shown interest.
