Rose Valley scam: CBI to file its first charge-sheet

The CBI will be filing the supplementary charge-sheet in connection with the Rose Valley Group scam soon.

Sources said some influential politicians are going to be named in the charge-sheet. It would be filed by the end of this month, a source said. The influential persons, whose names could arrive in the charge-sheet, could include politicians from Bengal and some from the film industry as well. It may be mentioned that the Rose Valley group had produced many Bengali movies.

The investigating agency had filed its preliminary charge-sheet in January in connection with this scam worth Rs 17,000 crore. The preliminary charge-sheet was filed before the Special Court in Bhubaneswar in which names of Goutam Kundu, chairman, MD Shibamoy Dutta and directors Ramlal Goswami and Ashok Saha came up.
