Rose Valley probe: ED grills Prosenjit for 5 hrs

Kolkata: Eminent Tollywood actor Prosenjit Chatterjee appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials at the Central Government Office (CGO) Complex on Friday morning. He was questioned for almost five hours. Chatterjee had been summoned by ED earlier this month.

According to sources, on Friday at around 11 am, Chatterjee arrived at the ED office along with some documents. After a few minutes of his arrival, ED sleuths started questioning him regarding the Rose Valley chit fund scam case.

The actor was asked about his involvement with Rose Valley and the owner of the organisation Gautam Kundu. He was also asked whether any monetary transactions were made for him appearing in several programmes organised by Rose Valley.

At around 5 pm on Friday, Chatterjee left the CGO Complex after questioning. After coming out of the ED office he said: "I have provided the documents they wanted and answered their questions. I will definitely cooperate with the investigation."

Earlier on Thursday, another Tollywood actor Rituparna Sengupta was called and questioned about her connection with the case.
