Rose Valley: Gautam Kundu's brother-in-law arrested

Abir Kundu, brother-in-law of Rose Valley group chief Gautam Kundu was arrested from his residence in Lake Town on Tuesday evening.

He was arrested for his alleged involvement in Rose Valley group scam. He was a director of the real estate and construction company of the group. An arrest warrant was issued against him as he didn't turn up before the police despite repeated summons.

A case was initiated on the basis of a complaint lodged by the SEBI in connection with the scam. Preliminary investigation has also revealed his involvement in the scam.

Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid and he was arrested. The Bankshall Court had issued an arrest warrant against him for not turning up for interrogation despite being issued summons. He will be taken into CBI custody for further interrogation.
