RKM looks to set up educational hub for tribal students

Kolkata: Ramakrishna Mission's project to set up a super educational hub mostly for tribal students is going on in full swing.

A primary school, Ramakrishna Mission Sishu Vidyamandir at Lumdung Seppa in East Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh, has already been set up. The foundation stone was laid by Swami Bodhasaranandaji, assistant general secretary RK Math and Mission on

October 9, 2018.

Construction work of seven buildings in phase I is being carried out.

The midday meal for students is likely to be provided from June. If the facility of midday meal is made available the Ramakrishna Mission will bring about a change in the menu provided to the students everyday during their recess.

Meanwhile, Class III of the primary school will start from June where those promoted from Class II will be accommodated. The admission test for Class I was held on March 30.

The Nanghi Natung Moya Tacha Welfare Society (NNMTWS) has donated a plot of land where a charitable medical dispensary for local people and a community computer centre as well as a

general guest house will come up.

Earlier, NNMTWS had donated the main land for the school at the erstwhile Lumdung bustee.

Swami Vivekananda had said education is the need of the hour. This dream of Swamiji will be a reality in a few year's time when the entire campus of the educational hub will be functional.
