Reward announced for any info regarding 3 B'deshi terrorists

Kolkata: The Kolkata Police have announced a reward for providing any information related to three terrorists of Al-Qaeda's Indian sub-continent network Ansar Bangla Team (ABT).

The Kolkata Police have posted photographs of the three ABT members — Umar Farrukh, alias Mahi, alias Aftab, Shopon Biswas, alias Tamim and Nayan Gazi, alias Zafor on its Facebook page urging netizens to share the same so that it spreads to the maximum number of people.

The tweet of the Kolkata Police reads: "Please let us know if you happen to spot them. Our Special Task Force (STF) is on the lookout for three suspected terrorists whose photographs we are sharing."

Urging the common people to share any information on them, the Kolkata Police maintained in a tweet: "Inbox us or give a buzz at our Control Room @ 100. The identity of those sharing information will not be revealed. Credible informants will be suitably rewarded. Please share this post as much as possible."

According to a police officer, all the three terrorists, who are still at large, are in the age group between 20 to 30 years. The officer maintained that the photographs posted on Facebook are their latest photographs. The police have also taken steps to make people aware of these terrorists in the rural parts of the state considering that they may take an attempt to flee the country.

Police stations mainly those in the bordering areas have also been alerted and urged to maintain a stringent vigil to ensure their arrests as early as possible.

It may be mentioned that the city police's STF has arrested two members of the banned outfit — Samsad and Riyazul on Wednesday from Kolkata Station. Many incriminating documents were extracted from them that established their involvement with the ABT. On the same day, the police arrested Monotosh De from whom Samsad and Riyazul wanted to procure firearms. Later, they arrested Sahadat who had helped them to cross the Indo-Bangladesh border to enter the country. After interrogating Sahadat and Samsad, police have got information about the three terrorists who are still absconding.

All of them are Bangladeshi nationals and they had been chalking out a plan along with Samsad and Riyazul to kill 84 bloggers. It may be mentioned that Samsad is a civil engineer and an expert in making improvise explosive devises (IED) and Shopon is also involved in murder of bloggers in Bangladesh.
